How To Find Us:

We are located at 937 Apperson Drive, Salem VA. 24153

From I-81: Take exit 141. Go south into Salem. At the corner of Route 419 and Apperson Drive (Sheetz Gas station on corner), turn right. Go 200 yards and look on the right.

From 220 south: Go west on Rt 419 (pass Tanglewood Mall and later Lewis-Gale Hospital, both on right) to corner of Rt 419 & Apperson Drive (Sheetz Gas station on right). Turn left. Go 200 yards and look on the right.

From old location inside CMT: Turn right from CMT parking lot and go 2 miles. Cross Route 419 (Sheetz Gas station on right). Go 200 yards and look on the right.

 

About Us:

We have been in the business of teaching SCUBA and Snorkeling to Southwest Virginia residents since 1983. We employ the area's finest SCUBA Professionals, many of whom are experts in their respective fields. All of our instructors are certified by PADI, the world's largest training agency. Your certification card is guaranteed anywhere in the world.

We offer plenty to do once you are certified, including instructor escorted vacations, weekend getaways and special interest seminars. Our professional staff includes certified service technicians, PADI Instructors and Master Instructors and several PADI Divemasters to assist you in your fun-filled future as a recreational scuba diver.
 

Staff:

Our staff are all experienced divers. Our instructional staff include:
* Course Director,
* 3 Master Instructors,
* Master Scuba Diver Trainers,
* Open Water Scuba Instructors,
* Emergency First Response Instructors,
* Technical Diving Instructors
* and more.

All Instructors undergo periodic retraining and updates to keep current on all aspects of diving. With a course Director on staff we are able to provide our instructors with update training immediately.
 

Classes:

From the entry-level Open Water Diver to Instructor, we offer a full range of diver training including many specialties and technical diving. We have numerous Distinctive Specialties unique to our store. All of our instructors are active in the specialties they teach.

 

Equipment Sales:

We are an authorized dealer offering full service and warranties on Aqualung/U.S. Divers, Deep See, Sea Quest, Light & Motion, Scubapro, Genesis, Sherwood, Ocean Management Systems, Dive Rite, Underwater Kinetics, O'Neill, and many more. For your protection, we only sell equipment for which we are an authorized dealer. You can be assured of recieving only new, US products, with the full manufacturers' warranty.

 

Trips:

Choose one of our group trips or contact us to arrange your own private getaway. We travel throughout the United States and the World. We offer exotic trips to places like Fiji, Palau, Bonaire, Curacao, The Bahamas, Belize, Cozumel, the Red Sea, Australia, and more.

Our "non-local" trips are those within the United States and include the Florida Keys (reefs), the Florida Panhandle (wrecks & springs), Morehead City NC (wrecks), Central Florida (springs), Bonne Terre Mine (open surface underground mine system), and others.

Our local trips can be overnight or one day. Dive the New River, South Holston, Bluestone Quarry, Lake Rawlings, Mt. Storm, Summerville Lake, and Fantasy Lake. Many of our trips include lodging and transportation. All include a great time diving, good company, and lots of fun.
 

Full Service:

All of our service technicians are DOT, OSHA, and factory-trained and attend regular updates to keep current with the latest innovations in diving. We utilize the latest in service and testing equipment including Flow Bench testing for regulators and valves; and eddy current testing for Scuba tanks.
 

In-House Hydrostatic Testing:

We have a fully D.O.T. Hydrostatic Testing Facility on site to test all types of cylinders. Our staff meet D.O.T. and OSHA requirements for inspecting and testing your cylinders.
