Choosing to become a diver will lead you to a lifetime of fun, adventure, and discovery. We are glad you chose Diving Enterprises, Ltd. You will receive an Open Water Certification from PADI (the Professional Association of Diving Instructors) the world's largest training agency. PADI does more than twice as many certifications as all other training agencies combined.

Now, How To Become A Certified Scuba Diver.

Step 1: Pick A Class:

The first thing to do is find the class that best suits your schedule. We offer both weekend and weeknight classes to allow you the most flexibility.

Weekend classes are held over one weekend: Friday evening 6:30pm to 9:30pm, Saturday 9:00am to 6:00pm, and Sunday 9:00am to 6:00pm.

Weeknight classes are held two nights per week for three weeks (6 sessions) from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.

Step 2: Sign Up For Class:

Now that you picked the best class schedule you need to sign up. Class size is limited so you need to register to guarantee your place. Plus when you register you get your training materials, book, and DVD.

Your preparation is what allows us to complete the class and pool on time.

Step 3: Prepare for Class:

Watch the DVD and read the book. Answer all the mini-quizzes in the book and review the answers. Then complete the Knowledge Reviews at the end of each chapter.

Your preparation is what allows us to complete the class and pool on time.

Step 4: Get Your Personal Equipment:

You need to have your own, fitted, mask, fins, snorkel, and boots. These are critical to having a fun, positive learning experience. When you buy your equipment from Diving Enterprises, Ltd. We guarantee the fit and function. You do not have to worry that what seemed right when you got it may not work the way you want in the water. If it does not, just exchange it.

You should get your equipment about 2 to 3 weeks before class starts. This ensures plenty of time to fit you and yet close enough to the start of class to allow us to guarantee everything works the way you want.

Step 5: Come To Class:

Be on time. We have a full schedule and we have to start each session timely if we want to finish on time. Bring all your equipment and materials, including completed knowledge reviews, to class.

Step 6: Plan For Your Dives:

There are four Open Water Training Dives to be completed for your certification. On the schedule we suggested a dive date so you can dive with the rest of the class. You will make new friends in class and it's fun to go out for your dives with the people you know.

But if the schedule doesn’t work, you can dive anytime we are going out. We generally dive locally almost every weekend between May 1st and November 1st. You will need to reserve your equipment for the dives (it is free) and pick it up before you head out for your dives.

Step 7: You're Certified!

After the dives are finished you get a PADI certification card.

Step 8: What Do I Do Now?

The adventure is just beginning. Diving Enterprises, Ltd staff, students, and patrons travel the world exploring and diving in some of the most beautiful and exotic locations on the planet.

Some places we visit again and again, because of consistantly wonderful experiences. Other places are on our wish list to visit, while still others have given us memories to last a life time.

Choose your own path to adventure. Maybe it involves swimming with Dolphins in Hawaii, diving the President Coolidge (the largest divable ship wreck in the world) in Vanuatu, cruising Bloody Bay Wall in the Caymans, exploring the kelp forests off California, or visting the Great Barrier Reef near Australia. Whatever your travel dreams are, we can help you achieve them.

It starts with you, so give us a call or come by and see us today. We look forward to diving with you.
